Structured FrameMaker 7: Introduction to Authoring
In
the hands-on training course, you will get an introduction to FrameMaker's
structured interface and learn how to create documents with elements. You
will learn about elements, their relationships to each other, and how to
manipulate them in the structure view. You will create content by inserting
elements for text, cross-references, variables, and other components. By
working with the elements in a sample structured template, You will see
how templates guide you to the correct structure for a document and offer
time-saving features such as automatic insertion of elements.

- Intermediate knowledge of FrameMaker (or completion of Knopf Online's Unstructured FrameMaker 7: Accelerated Introduction class)
- Actively using the current release of FrameMaker
- Basic knowledge of XML is helpful but not required.
